Juneteenth

Juneteenth is a day that recognizes the freedom of slaves in the United States of America. Let it be known however that many states continued to have legal slaves after this date, and many freed people continued to live in mental and spiritual bondage.

In 2020, we’re still doing the work to free minds. Post-traumatic slave syndrome is a set of behaviors, beliefs, and actions transcended through epigenetics that create psychological and spiritual barriers because of generational trauma.

Today and every day at GTR, we celebrate the amazing black therapists that are breaking down these psychological strongholds. They challenge long-standing ideologies that influence the mental health of people of color.

Help us honor their authentic and caring hearts, and celebrate the amazing work they do!
