Research Program

Assessing Counseling Readiness Study

Principal Investigator: Ms. Natalia Louis, MPH
We are evaluating outreach methods for Caribbean people living in New York City, by assessing their readiness for counseling. Specifically, we are looking to understand the perceptions, beliefs, and attitudes of community members towards mental health. Implications for outreach to this particular community will be shared. 


This study is in the initial phase.  


The Effectiveness of GTR's Haiti Trauma Project Study 

Principal Investigators: Dr. Karen Roller & Dr. Florence Saint-Jean

After successful completion of Phase II - data collection, we are now analyzing our findings. Specifically, we are evaluating surveys completed by the 2015 Haiti Trauma Project participants, and will undergo transcription of individual interviews.
